As a Government Affairs Manager at August Strategy Group, Michael leverages his extensive experience working with legislators, staff, media, non-profits, and the private sector to shape public policy.

His background includes a tenure as a communications director in the Texas Senate, where he played a pivotal role in translating a wide range of policies and legislation into everyday language. His most notable achievement was contributing to the passage of the largest property tax relief bill in Texas history.

He also served at a leading state-based think tank and legislative caucus with over 60 legislative members, where he gained expertise in legislative tracking, web and graphic design, operations, and event planning.

Michael earned a B.A. in Political Science with an ROTC scholarship at Texas A&M – Kingsville. He served eight years as a logistics officer in the United States Army Reserve. Michael now resides in Austin, Texas with his wife, Sydney.
